Brief
Design of elements and graphic style for an event related to urban music.
Goal
The goal was to create a visual line with a striking and own style, which would make people think quickly about the ideas of art and urban music (mainly hip-hop and its history), create several poster designs in this line that could be used as advertising for the event as well as be adapted to different digital media (banners, web, social networks...) and be used as merchandising in themselves (pictures, posters, t-shirts).

Development
We take as a reference images of some of the main historical references of the genre and the movement (urban music, mainly hip-hop and its roots in New York) such as Notorious B.I.G, Jay-Z or Nas, and using some of their most emblematic portraits we develop graphic pieces referencing the expressionist art of the early twentieth century.
In this way we generate a direct link between this genre, more modern and often reviled at an artistic level, and we link it with referents much less questioned by the collective imagination. In a single glance we treat these musicians and their work as art, and we vindicate the history of the genre as such.
The use of color also serves to generate impact from an advertising point of view, standing out in outdoor media, but also in digital, through the use of highly saturated masses and great tonal contrasts.
